How to Make a Clean and Simple Card with the Ice Cream Swirl Bundle

I have missed creating and sharing so much! Over the past year, I have ordered so many stamps and designer series papers, and guess what….I haven’t used them! Insert sad face! I must admit I love shopping for supplies. I think I might have that down pat. Now, I need to stick with my new thoughts…Use it if I buy it, have fun, and share it! I love how the challenge blogs help to do that and give me a starting point. Of course, the first challenge that I decided to join was CAS Colours and Sketches. This is a great sketch!!!

Here’s the outside of the card.

It’s so clean, but I love it!  I had to fight the urge to do something more! I’m proud of myself for stopping!  It’s quite simple, but I’ve seen amazing cards that designers create which make me say WOW!

MEASUREMENTS FOR OUTSIDE OF CARD:

  • 1/2 a piece of cardstock at 51/2″ with thick basic white cardstock.
  • Then, 5 1/4″ by 4″ in basic white thick cardstock embossed.
  • 1/2″ piece of designer series paper across the 51/4″

Here’s what I did with the inside of the card.

And let’s not forget the envelope that I decided to run through the embossing machine too as per my husband’s idea! The back of the envelope has the matching DSP on the back of the envelope.  (A way to use up my stuff!)

MEASUREMENTS FOR INSIDE OF CARD:

  • Thick basic white cut at 5″ X 3 3/4″
  • designer series paper cut at 5 5/8″ X 4 1/8″

Note: The DSP is from last year. If you want a matching DSP and don’t have it…you use what you have! Insert smiley face!

Here’s the bundle up close from my shop

I was drawn to this bundle because of just EVERYTHING! First, it’s ice cream! Who doesn’t love ice cream? Second, I am always in for both large and small dies. And last…This bundle is versatile. It’s great that we don’t have to just use it for ice cream. I’m excited to create more with it.  You can find all the other supplies I used below.

And lastly, I have a STAMPING TIP for you!

Ice Cream Swirl is a photopolymer stamp set. When I stamped my images, I first stamped them in Versamark, then stamped them off. I then inked it in the black tuxedo memento ink pad. The black ink did not stain the stamp. The stamp set looks brand new and it isn’t!!! Hope this helps you in your everyday stamping if you don’t want your stamps to stain.

Let’s use up the stuff we bought because we love it!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!
